2026/27 Men's Basketball Schedule.

I had a comment for the schedule detective when I found that Jacksonville of the Atlantic Sun was visiting Arlington in December. However, there was an error and when I pressed publish, the comment box came up the said "publishing..." but it never would actually publish. I did it many times and tried different ways but no success. 

In the end, it didn't matter terribly much as the schedule is basically done. I got a copy of the schedule, sans start times. Everything I learned was there and of course the rest has been filled in with no real surprises.

Some thoughts:

The November 8th game is a part of the Outrigger Classic in Hawaii. California State Fullerton originally was a part of the Multi-Team Event. For a reason unknown to me, they are no longer a part of the MTE and a replacement is being sought.

There are only two non-DI schools and both are local. My worry proved to be unfounded.

The UAC/ASUN consortium produced four games for the Mavs. All four come at the conclusion of the non-conference slate. 

Prior to this year, UTA played only one game versus a current member of the Atlantic Sun, Florida Gulf Coast in 2016/17, an 85-72 loss.

There are three games against current Southland Schools. In a weird math twist, UTA was members of the SLC with two of them and was a member of the Western Athletic Conference with two. SFA was with UTA in both conferences. 

UTA has a winning record against Austin Peay, Arlington Baptist, Central Arkansas, Northwestern St., SFA, Tarleton St., UNT Dallas and UTRGV. They have a losing record against Abilene Christian, Arkansas, Colorado St., Florida Gulf Coast and Litte Rock. The Mavs are tied with Oral Roberts. They have not played Eastern Kentucky, Hawaii, Jacksonville, North Alabama, North Florida, Portland, Southern Mississippi, Stetson and West Georgia.

Games against Austin Peay (1-0), Arlington Baptist (1-0), Florida Gulf Coast (0-1), Little Rock (9-10) and Oral Roberts (5-5) can change the above.
